माँ दुर्गा के नौ रुपों की कथा

शास्त्रानुसार माँ दुर्गा के नौ रुप कहे गए हैं और नवरात्र के प्रत्येक दिन माँ का ही एक रुप होता है. माता के इन रुपों के पीछे क्या कहानी हैं उसका वर्णन इस लेख के द्वारा पाठकों तक पहुंचाने का प्रयास किया जा रहा है.

महाकाली – Mahakali

प्राचीन समय की बात है संसार में प्रलय आ गई और चारों ओर पानी नजर आने लगा. उस समय भगवान विष्णु की नाभि से कमल की उत्त्पत्ति हुई. उस कमल से ब्रह्माजी की उत्पत्ति हुई. विष्णु जी के कानों से कुछ मैल भी निकला था जिससे मधु और कैटभ नाम के दो राक्षस भी पैदा हो गए. मधु और कैटभ, ब्रह्मा जी को देख उन्हें अपना भोजन बनाने के लिए दौड़े. ब्रह्मा जी ने भय के मारे विष्णु जी स्तुति करनी आरंभ की. ब्रह्माजी की स्तुति से विष्णु भगवान की आँख खुल गई और उनके नेत्रों में वास करने वाली महामाया वहाँ से लोप हो गई. विष्णु जी के जागते ही मधु-कैटभ उनसे युद्ध करने लगे.

शास्त्रो के अनुसार यह युद्ध पाँच हजार वर्षों तक चला था. अंत में महामाया ने महाकाली का रुप धारण किया और दोनों राक्षसों की बुद्धि को बदल दिया. ऎसा होने पर दोनों असुर भगवान विष्णु से कहने लगे कि हम तुम्हारे युद्ध कौशल से बहुत प्रसन्न है. तुम जो चाहो वह वर माँग सकते हो. भगवान विष्णु बोले कि यदि तुम कुछ देना ही चाहते हो तो यह वर दो कि असुरों का नाश हो जाए. उन दोनों ने तथास्तु कहा और उन महाबली दैत्यों का नाश हो गया.

महालक्ष्मी – Mahalakshmi

प्राचीन समय में महिषासुर नाम का एक दैत्य था. उसने अपने बल से सभी राजाओं को परास्त कर पृथ्वी और पाताल लोक पर अपना अधिकार कर लिया था. अब वह स्वर्ग पर अधिकार चाहता था तो उसने देवताओं पर चढ़ाई कर दी. देवताओं ने अपनी रक्षा के लिए भगवान विष्णु तथा शिवजी से प्रार्थना की. उनकी प्रार्थना सुनकर दोनों के शरीर से एक तेज पुंज निकला और उसने महालक्ष्मी का रुप धारण किया. इन महालक्ष्मी ने महिषासुर का अंत किया और देवताओं को दैत्यों के कष्ट से मुक्ति दिलाई.

चामुण्डा देवी – Chamunda Devi

बहुत पहले संसार में दो राक्षसों की उत्पत्ति हुई जिनका नाम शुम्भ व निशुम्भ था. उन्होंने अपनी शक्ति के बल पर पृथ्वी व पाताल लोक के सभी राजाओं को परास्त कर दिया. अब वह दोनों स्वर्ग पर चढ़ाई करने चल दिए. देवताओं ने भगवान विष्णु को याद किया और उनसे प्रार्थना की. उनकी इस प्रार्थना और अनुनय से विष्णु भगवान के शरीर से एक ज्योति प्रकट हुई जो चामुण्डा के नाम से प्रसिद्ध हुई. देखने में वह बहुत सुंदर थी और उनकी सुंदरता देख कर शुम्भ-निशुम्भ ने सुग्रीव नाम के अपने एक दूत को देवी के पास भेजा कि वह उन दोनों में से किसी एक को अपने वर के रुप में स्वीकार कर ले.

देवी ने उस दूत को कहा कि उन दोनों में से जो उन्हें युद्ध में परास्त करेगा उसी से वह विवाह करेगी. दूत के मुँह से यह समाचार सुनकर उन दोनो दैत्यों ने पहले युद्ध के लिए अपने सेनापति धूम्राक्ष को भेजा जो अपनी सेना समेत मारा गया. उसके बाद चण्ड-मुण्ड को भेजा गया जो देवी के हाथों मारे गए. उसके बाद रक्तबीज लड़ने आया. रक्तबीज की एक विशेषता यह थी कि उसके शरीर से खून की जो भी बूँद धरती पर गिरती उससे एक वीर पैदा हो जाता था. देवी ने उसके खून को खप्पर में भरकर पी लिया. इस तरह से रक्तबीज का भी अंत हो गया. अब अंत में शुम्भ-निशुम्भ लड़ने आ गए और वह भी देवी के हाथों मारे गए.

योगमाया – Yogmaya

जब कंस ने देवकी और वासुदेव के छ: पुत्रों को मार दिया तब सातवें गर्भ के रुप में शेषनाग के अवतार बलराम जी आए और रोहिणी के गर्भ में स्थानांतरित होकर प्रकट हुए. उसके बाद आठवें गर्भ में श्रीकृष्ण भगवान प्रकट हुए. उसी समय गोकुल में यशोदा जी के गर्भ से योगमाया का जन्म हुआ. वासुदेव जी कृष्ण को वहां छोड़कर योगमाया को वहाँ से ले आए. कंस को जब आठवें बच्चे के जन्म का पता चला तो वह योगमाया को पटककर मारने लगा लेकिन योगमाया उसके हाथों से छिटकर आकाश में चली गई और उसने देवी का रुप धारण कर लिया. आगे चलकर इसी योगमाया ने कृष्ण के हाथों योगविद्या और महाविद्या बनकर कंस, चाणूर आदि शक्तिशाली असुरों को परास्त कर के उनका संहार किया.

रक्तदंतिका – Raktadantika

बहुत समय पहले की बात है वैप्रचिति नाम के असुर ने पृथ्वी व देवलोक में अपने कुकर्मों से आतंक मचा के रखा था. उसने सभी का जीना दूभर कर दिया था. देवताओं और पृथीवासियों की पुकार से देवी दुर्गा ने रक्तदन्तिका नाम से अवतार लिया. देवी ने वैप्रचिति और अन्य असुरों का रक्तपान कर के मानमर्दन कर दिया. देवी के रक्तपान करने उनका नाम रक्तदन्तिका पड़ गया.

शाकुम्भरी देवी – Shakumbhari Devi

प्राचीन समय में एक बार पृथ्वी पर सौ वर्षों तक बारिश ना होने से भयंकर सूखा पड़ गया. चारों ओर सूखा ही सूखा था और वनस्पति भी सूख गई थी जिससे सभी ओर हाहाकार मच गया. सूखे से निपटने के लिए ऋषि-मुनियों ने वर्षा के लिए भगवती देवी की उपासना की. उनकी स्तुति से माँ जगदम्बा ने शाकुम्भरी के नाम से पृथ्वी पर स्त्री रुप में अवतार लिया. उनकी कृपा हुई और पृथ्वी पर बारिश पड़ी. माँ की कृपा से सभी वनस्पतियों और जीव-जंतुओं को जीवन दान मिला.

श्रीदुर्गा देवी – Shri Durga Devi

प्राचीन समय में दुर्गम नाम का एक राक्षस हुआ जिसके प्रकोप से पृथ्वी, पाताल और देवलोक में हड़कम्प मच गया. इस विपत्ति से निपटने के लिए भगवान की शक्ति दुर्गा ने अवतार लिया. देवी दुर्गा ने दुर्गम राक्षस का संहार किया और पृथ्वी लोक के साथ देवलोक व पाताललोक को विपत्ति से मुक्ति दिलाई. दुर्गम राक्षस का वध करने के कारण ही तीनों लोकों में इनका नाम देवी दुर्गा पड़ा.  

भ्रामरी – Bhramari

प्राचीन समय में अरुण नाम के राक्षस की इतनी हिम्मत बढ़ गई कि वह देवलोक में रहने वाली देव-पत्नियों के सतीत्व को नष्ट करने का कुप्रयास करने लगा. अपने सतीत्व को बचाने के लिए देव पत्नियों ने भौरों का रुप धारण कर लिया. वह सब देवी दुर्गा से अपने सतीत्व को बचाने के लिए प्रार्थना करने लगी. देव-पत्नियों को दुखी देख माँ दुर्गा ने भ्रामरी का रुप धारण किया और अरुण राक्षस के संहार के साथ उसकी सेना को भी नष्ट कर दिया.

चण्डिका – Chandika

एक बार पृथ्वी पर चण्ड-मुण्ड नाम के दो राक्षस पैदा हुए. इन दोनों राक्षसों ने तीनों लोकों पर अपना अधिकार कर लिया. इससे दुखी होकर देवताओं ने मातृ शक्ति देवी का स्मरण किया. देवताओं की स्तुति से प्रसन्न होकर देवी ने चण्ड-मुण्ड राक्षसों का विनाश करने के लिए चण्डिका के रुप में अवतार लिया.

5^th of September is celebrated as Teachers’ Day all over India every year. Actually, 5^th of September is the birth anniversary of the Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a great scholar and teacher. In his later life first, he became the Vice President of Indian republic and then the President of the Indian republic.

Students all across the country observe this day to pay respect to their teachers. It is truly said that teachers are like the backbone of our society. They play a great role in building up the characters of students and shape them to become an ideal citizen of India.

Teachers teach students very carefully and sincerely just like their own children. It is well said that teachers are great than the parents. Parents give birth to a child whereas teachers shape his/her character and make future bright. Thus we never forget and ignore them, we always respect and love them. Our parents are responsible for giving us love and quality care however our teachers are responsible for making the whole future bright and successful. They let us know the importance of education in our life through their continuous efforts. They are the source of inspiration to us which help us to go ahead and get success. They motivate us towards study by giving examples of great personalities all over the world. They make us so strong and prepare to withstand any obstacle of the life. They become full of immense knowledge and wisdom using which they nourish our lives. Come on my dear friends, say together that ‘our respected teachers we are always grateful to you for all you do to us’. My dear friends, we should always obey our teacher’s orders and follow their advice to be the worthy citizens of India.

A very good morning to the Principal, respected teachers and my dear colleagues. We are here today to celebrate a most honorable occasion of Teachers Day. Really it is an honorable occasion to all the students all over India. It is observed every year to pay respect to the teachers from their obedient students. So, dear friends come on and join this celebration to pay a heartily respect to our own teachers. They are called as the backbone of our society because they highly contribute in building up our characters, shaping our future and help us to be ideal citizens of the country.

Teacher’s day is celebrated all across India every year on 5^th of September to pay tribute to the teachers for their precious contributions in our study as well as towards the society and country. There is a great reason behind the celebration of teacher’s day on the 5^th of September. Actually, 5^th of September is the birthday Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. He was a great person and highly devoted towards the education. He was well known as the scholar, diplomat, Vice President of India, President of India and most importantly the Teacher. After his selection as the Indian President in 1962, he was asked and requested by the students to get permission to celebrate his birthday on 5^th of September. However, he replied that, instead of celebrating the 5^th of September as my personal birthday, it would be better if it is dedicated to the whole teaching profession. And 5^th of September should be celebrated as teachers day all over India to pay honor to the teaching profession.

For all students of India, Teachers’ Day is like an occasion and opportunity to pay tribute and gratitude to their teachers for their continuous, selfless and precious efforts in shaping the future. They are the reason to enrich all the quality education system in the country and process it continuously without getting tired. Our teachers never consider us less than their own children and teach us from their heart. As kids, we need inspiration and motivation which we surely get from our teachers. Good morning to the respected Principal, teachers and my dear friends. As we all know that we are here to celebrate teachers day today. My self, _______ studying in class __ would like to speak on the occasion of Teachers Day. But first of all, I would like to thank my class teacher to offer me such a great opportunity to speak on teachers day. The title of my speech is, why teachers are so important in our life.

In India, teachers day is celebrated by the students on 5^th of September every year. It is the birth anniversary of the Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishan. His birth date is being celebrated as teachers day every year from the time when he became President of India in 1962 after the student’s request.

Teachers really play key roles towards the education and student’s life. Teachers generally become a person with proper vision, knowledge, and experience. Teaching profession is a profession of great responsibility than any other jobs. The teaching profession has a great impact on the growth, development and well being of the students and nation. According to the Madan Mohan Malavia (founder of Banaras Hindu University), a teacher is “…….It Lies Largely In His Teacher’s Hand To Mould The Mind Of The Child Who Is Father Of The Man. If He Is Patriotic And Devoted To The National Cause And Realizes His Responsibility, He Can Produce A Race Of Patriotic Men And Women Who Would Religiously Place The Country Above The Community And National Gain Above Communal Advantage.”

There are many precious roles of teachers in the education of students, society, and country. The growth and development of the people, society, and country are solely depending on the quality of education which can be given by a good teacher. Good quality education is very necessary to all to fulfill the need of politicians, doctors, engineers, businessmen, farmers, artists, scientists, etc in the country. Teachers have to continue hard works and go through a variety of books, articles, etc to put thorough knowledge needed for the society. They guide their students all the time and tell the path to make a good career. There were many ideal teachers in India who have set themselves as role models for the upcoming teachers.

An ideal teacher becomes courteous all time without being impartial and not affected by insult. Teachers are like parents in the school for all student. They do their best to maintain health and concentration level of the students. They motivate students to participate in the extracurricular activities also besides studies in order to improve students mind level.

I am going to recite some well said quotes on education, students and teachers by the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi during his interaction with students on the Teachers’ Day:

A very good morning to the Principal Sir, respected teachers and my dear colleagues gathered here. We all are collected here to celebrate an occasion called teachers day. Today is 5^th of September which is being celebrated as teachers day in all the schools and colleges by the students to pay honor to the teachers for their valuable contribution to the society and country by imparting knowledge and shaping the career of students. The celebration of Teachers Day has been a popular event in the country from the time it was started celebrating after the student’s request to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishan. 5^th of September is the birth anniversary of the Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishan which is celebrated as teachers day. Students pay honor to their teachers for selfless effort in shaping the career and enriching the education system all over the country.

The aim of celebrating this event in all countries is generally to pay honor to the teachers and admire all the achievements in the field of education. A range of students participates in the cultural programs, speech, and other activities in order to make this event special and memorable. Some students celebrate this event in their own way by presenting their favorite teachers a colorful flower, teachers day cards, gifts, e-greeting cards, SMS, messages, etc to respect and admire them.

Teachers day celebration is a wonderful opportunity for all the students to do something for their teachers in their respect and honor. On this beautiful occasion, let us take the opportunity to convey our wishes to all our teachers, who have given impeccable contribution in shaping us.

Every year on the 5th of September, we celebrate Teachers Day. It is a day filled with lots of excitement, joy, and happiness as students are eagerly looking forward to telling their teachers how and why are they special to them. We celebrate Teachers’ day on 5th of September every year in India. Students across the country celebrate this day to pay respect and thank their teachers. Teachers are the backbone of our society. They spearhead change by shaping and building students’ personality and make them ideal citizens of the country.

As one looks at the great impact on the growth, development and well being of the students and nation, one must agree that teaching is a noble profession.

There is a saying that teachers are greater than the parents. Parents give birth to a child whereas teachers mold that child’s personality and provide a bright future. Apart from academics, teachers stand by us at every step to guide, motivate and inspire to become better people.

They are the source of knowledge and wisdom. From them leads the ideas and thoughts, that one day each one of us will use to provide back into this society. I would like to extend my gratitude to every teacher for selfless service and dynamic support. We are always grateful to you.

TEACHERS DAY SPEECH 6

Just like every year, this year also we have gathered here to celebrate Teachers’ Day. Every year the 5th of September is celebrated as Teachers’ Day in India commemorating the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. As a Teacher, Vice President and second President of India Dr. RadhaKrishnan made an immense contribution to the country.

On this special occasion, I wish to convey my best wishes and greetings to all the Teachers gathered here and to all those, who have helped me attain success in my academics.

As we all know that it is impossible to define ‘teacher’ as Teachers are not only limited to Teaching or guiding students in academics but also helping students to take the right path. They add value to our character and make us ideal citizens of the country.

Secondly, Teachers are our second parents. Teachers play a prominent role in influencing and inspiring us. Every student tries to imitate their teachers and consider them as a role model. After parents, teachers take the responsibility of molding a child’s character at each and every step.

Therefore, it is our utmost duty to salute/convey our wishes to Teachers today in recognition of their undeterred efforts. Let us take time to pay honor and admire all their contribution in elevating us. Thank you, teachers, for your invaluable efforts and guidance.

Good morning to all of you gathered here to celebrate the special occasion – The Teachers’ Day. It gives me immense pleasure to be here and to talk about the main personalities of the day, our very own teachers.

It is well-known fact that every year we celebrate 5th September as Teachers’ Day in memory of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a Teacher par excellence and also one of the successful Presidents of India.

Teachers’ Day is a special and important day as students offer their respect to Teachers in recognition of their contribution to the field of education.

Teachers are also the guides who play an important role in transforming a student into a responsible citizen. They also serve selflessly and help us to reach our aim in all terms. Their contribution is not only limited to schools but it extends to society and country. Thus, after parents, teachers should receive the due respect.

Teachers’ day is celebrated as a special event in schools and colleges in different ways. Students will be looking forward to making the event special by offering gifts, flowers and greeting cards to their teachers. Cultural programmes are conducted to make the programme more fun-filled and colorful.

The D-day provides the students with a wonderful opportunity to be grateful to their teachers in appreciation of their work. Hence, don’t miss the chance to celebrate and make it memorable.
