दिवाली भारत का एक प्रमुख त्यौहार है। इसे प्रकाश के पर्व के रूप में भी जाना जाता है।
1.दीवाली को दीपावली भी कहते है जिसका अर्थ है दीपकों की माला।
2.दीवाली के दिन भारत में राष्ट्रिय छुट्टी होती है। यह पांच दिनों का त्यौहार है।
3.इस दिन भगवान् राम रावण का नाश करके लंका से अयोध्या वापस लौटे थे।
4.दीपावली के दिन लोग अपने घरों को दीयों के रौशनी से सजाते हैं और अच्छे स्वास्थ्य , बुद्धि और खुशहाली की कामना करते हैं।
5.इस दिन सभी अपने घरों को साफ़ करते हैं। सभी अपने - अपने घरों में चावल से रंगोली बनाते हैं।
6.दीपावली को सभी लोग नए कपडे खरीदते है , बच्चे पटाखे छुड़ाते है। और एक दुसरे को बधाई देते हैं।
7.इस दिन सभी धन की देवी लक्ष्मी से धन -धान्य व खुशहाली की कामना करते हैं।
8.दीपावली का त्यौहार बुराई पर अच्छी की विजय का प्रतीक है।
9.इस त्यौहार को हिन्दू, मुस्लिम , सिख और ईसाई सभी मिलकर मनाते हैं।
